Volunteer Opportunities

We are always thrilled to welcome new volunteers to our FTE family. Our volunteers are essential members of our team, and everyone is valued for their unique contribution.

Volunteers help with ushering, concession sales, fundraising, publicity, stage crew, carpentry, painting, and more. If you have a specific skill or contribution you'd like to make, let us know and join the fun!

Join our Front of House Team
We are currently looking for people to ushers and help with concessions. Our Front of House Team keeps things running smoothly at our shows from start to finish. This is a fun way to get involved and see the shows for free. 

Join the Build Team 
We have to move our stage from Full Circle Farm to Oak Meadow Park in the beginning of July. Our stage has lots of pieces (it's like a big, heavy lego project) and we need strong, patient people to help us move. Some paid positions are available. 

Donate to our Wish List: 
FTE always appreciates in--kind donations. The following is a wish list of items needed this season:
1. hot chocolate mix
2. hot apple cider
3. tea
4. napkins
5. bottled water
6. paper cups
7. ice (for the summer camp kids to stay cool on those hot days)

Become a Board Member:
Festival Theatre Ensemble is actively seeking professionals and theatre lovers in the community to join our board of directors. Board members contribute time and energy in leadership roles to foster the growth and development of FTE. Our board meets monthly and works closely with the Artistic Director to implement the mission of the organization. As fundraising is essential to our future, board members are asked to give or obtain gifts for FTE each season. If you are interested in becoming a member, we would love to hear from you. 2015 Auditions

General auditions for our 2015 summer repertory season are now closed.

Thank you to everyone who came out for auditions and callbacks! 

Festival Theatre Ensemble Auditions and Callbacks are usually held in December or January. The season features three plays in repertory, with each actor performing in two shows.  

General Information:

  • Auditions are by appointment only
  • Pay: stipend
  • Non-AEA
  • Auditions are in Los Gatos area (location will be provided with appointment)
  • All actors are encouraged to audition 

Rehearsal and Performance Information:

  • Rehearsals: February through May
  • Performances: June - early August
  • Multiple venues: Shakespeare at Full Circle Farm (Sunnyvale) and The Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival (Los Gatos)

Audition preparation:

  • Two contrasting monologues (at least one Shakespeare), not to exceed 4 minutes total 
  • Bring headshot, resume
  • Short interview will follow
